Yoga at the Old Course Hotel

A weekend to reconnect

As autumn softens into winter, this immersive overnight retreat invites you to pause, reset and gently restore. Set against the beautiful backdrop of St Andrews, every moment is designed to help you reconnect with yourself - from guided yoga and meditation to deeply restorative spa rituals and invigorating cold water sea dips led by expert instructors.

Guided by experienced yoga and meditation teacher Rosanne Nieboer, this thoughtfully curated experience blends gentle practices with meaningful reflection, creating space for calm, clarity and balance before the winter months.

Meet your host

Rosanne Nieboer has been teaching yoga and guiding meditation for over 20 years, bringing a deeply intuitive and thoughtful approach to her practice. Rooted in the Iyengar tradition, her work has evolved into a holistic exploration of the body, one that honours where you are, encouraging a sense of ease, curiosity and quiet discovery.

Drawing on her extensive knowledge of the chakra system and the subtle body, Rosanne’s teaching is centred on embodiment and connection. Through gentle movement, breath and awareness, she invites guests to tune into the natural rhythms and energies within.

At the heart of her approach is the creation of a calm and supportive space - one where you can slow down, reconnect and restore in a way that feels both grounding and deeply nourishing.

The power of restoration

Between sessions, retreat into the award-winning Kohler Waters Spa, where your journey of relaxation continues. Here, you’ll enjoy a 50-minute personalised treatment alongside full access to the spa’s hydrotherapy experiences, allowing you to immerse yourself in the restorative rhythm of heat and cold. From the warmth of the sauna to the invigorating chill of the plunge pool, each element of contrast therapy works to stimulate circulation, ease tension and restore balance, leaving you feeling deeply renewed.

Nourishment for body and mind

Nourishment is an integral part of the retreat experience, with each meal thoughtfully curated to support your sense of wellbeing. From a fresh, seasonal lunch to a dinner inspired by local produce and a beautifully prepared breakfast in our Road Hole Restaurant, overlooking the Old Course, every dish is designed to restore and energise. Bringing together vibrant flavours and wholesome ingredients, dining becomes a moment to pause, connect and fully savour the experience.

Your sanctuary by the sea

Set beside the sweeping coastline of West Sands Beach, the retreat offers a rare opportunity to connect with nature.

Breathe in the crisp sea air on a coastal walk, embrace the quiet beauty of the shoreline, and return to the warmth and comfort of the hotel - where every detail is designed to cocoon and restore.

With its blend of mindful activity, natural surroundings and five-star comfort, this is a weekend to fully step away and return to yourself.
