Showcasing Scotland’s larder

Local ingredients are the stars of the show in our Road Hole Restaurant where our talented chefs prepare delicious seasonal dishes showcasing the very best Scottish produce.

St Andrews Bay lobster ravioli

Nestled beneath a crisp golden wafer made with gorse handpicked on the Road Hole itself, our signature starter is stuffed with lobster caught in the bay just outside the window. If you time your visit right, you might even spot the creel boats out catching your next meal.

Scotch beef fillet

Tender and pink on the inside, this indulgent cut of steak is accompanied with a rich short rib, onion tarte tatin and sweet roasted carrot all cooked in beef dripping. The dish is then dotted with unctuous bone marrow - in line with our ethos of using every element of our superior Scottish ingredients.

Blacketyside strawberry & basil vacherin

This pretty stack of Champagne jelly, strawberry sorbet, and lime curd is finished at the table with a blanket of basil meringue. The strawberries come straight from Blacketyside farm, just a few miles away on the famous East Neuk - if you haven’t tried Fife strawberries, you’re about to discover they are the sweetest of all.

Tiers of joy

Take in the unrivalled views of the world’s most famous golf course and beautiful West Sands beach while you feast on tiers of delicate patisserie, crustless sandwiches and freshly baked scones - all served with your choice of speciality tea or Veuve Clicquot Champagne.
