Old Course Hotel will be temporarily closed this winter from 4th January for a few weeks as part of an exciting programme of renovations ahead of Spring 2026
During this time, the Road Hole Bar will be closed. However, you can still enjoy dining at Hams Hame, the Jigger Inn, and our Spa Café, all of which will remain open.

With more than 250 whiskies from distilleries all over Scotland, Road Hole Bar is a must-visit destination for whisky enthusiasts from around the world. During the day, the bar becomes the hotel’s social hub, serving fresh coffee and delicious light lunches, with panoramic views over the Old Course and beyond. But by night, this is where the revelry starts, with convivial conversation and fine tipples into the wee hours.
