St Salvator's Chapel

Founded in 1450, St Salvator’s Chapel sits at the heart of the University of St Andrews and is instantly recognisable by its impressive tower and historic architecture.

A focal point of university life for more than 500 years, the chapel is perhaps best known as the starting point for the annual Pier Walk tradition. Visitors are welcome Monday to Saturday from 9am to 5pm, and members of the public are welcome to attend services regardless of faith.
