Beaches

West Sands
One of Scotland's most iconic beaches, West Sands stretches for almost two miles along the St Andrews coastline. Famous for its appearance in Chariots of Fire, this vast expanse of golden sand is perfect for walking, beach games, kite flying and taking in spectacular views across St Andrews Bay.

Castle Sands
Nestled beneath the ruins of St Andrews Castle, Castle Sands is a small, sheltered beach rich in history and charm. Popular with swimmers and rock pool explorers, it offers a unique setting where the town's medieval heritage meets the coastline.

East Sands
Located on the eastern side of the town, East Sands is a family-friendly beach with golden sand, a promenade and nearby play facilities. Its sheltered position makes it a popular spot for paddling, picnics and enjoying views along the Fife coast.
