Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa Appoints Stephen Carter OBE as General Manager
The Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen Carter OBE as General Manager. Stephen will begin his role on 3rd May and joins the hotel after 8 years working with De Vere Hotels, 7 of which were spent at Cameron House on Loch Lomond.
Stephen’s illustrious career spans almost 40 years, in which he has achieved various accolades; notably an OBE for services to the hospitality industry in 2007 and Caterer and Hotelkeeper’s Hotelier of the Year in 2011. Aside from his impressive career, Stephen has quite the portfolio of extra-curricular activities with Trustee of the Hospitality Industry Trust Scotland and Director of both the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and Visit Scotland among his other endeavors.
Stephen has worked with leading hotels up and down the country, giving him a detailed overview of the industry’s landscape. He brings a unique, community-driven point of view to the role, believing in the importance of local projects and individuals, enhancing the strong heritage of Scottish people.
The Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa is aligned with Stephen in his belief in local people and produce, with many community-focused projects for the new General Manager to involve himself in on his arrival at the Hotel.
