Unique Services

At Old Course Hotel

Highly personalised service and attention to detail lie at the heart of the Old Course Hotel’s customer service ethos. The staff goes out of its way to create extraordinary experiences and can often be found sourcing special gifts and arranging unique services to ensure the ultimate “wow” factor.

Whether sourcing vintage champagne for a special anniversary, preparing a birthday cake, sending a glass of champagne up to the bride’s room – and a malt whisky to settle a nervous groom’s nerves – or tucking a teddy bear into a little guest’s bed, it’s those little touches that make all the difference.

The Old Course Hotel’s luxury treats selection - features romantic highlights, scrumptious cakes, balloons, flowers and a popping cork or two.

We want you and your family to feel at home during your stay. Our youngest travellers will receive a colouring book and pens and have their very own fluffy robe and slippers to use during their stay, as well as a very cute Old Course Bear to adopt and take home.

Our leisure pool is family friendly, we offer a pre-arranged babysitting service and the golf Swing Studio is also available for any budding “Tiger Woods”.

Children’s menus are available in most parts of the resort.

There’s a lot to explore in and around St Andrews:

St Andrews Aquarium  - Is the ideal family attraction, located a short walk from the hotel, you will be transported into an underwater world of adventure and discovery. You can also visit the meerkats, snakes, penguins and seals, they also offer feeding experiences.

The Scottish Deer Centre - Situated 10 miles from St Andrews,  this award winning visitor attraction - offers 13 species of Deer and other animals which are long lost from the Scottish countryside including Wolves, Lynx and Scottish Wildcat and European Brown Bear, they also offer Falconry and Bird of Prey shows.

Craigtoun Park – Is a  47-acre park only 2 miles from St Andrews. The park itself is open 24/7 and it's a great day out for the whole family. During the season try the Rio Grande Railway, Crazy Golf, Putting and Puffin' Billy - the road train that takes you round the whole park. There are also rowing boats and pedalos, bouncy castles and pedal cars for the little ones.

West Sands Beach – A stone’s throw from the hotel, this gorgeous beach is famous for the opening scenes of the film Chariots of Fire, West Sands extends for almost 2 miles of uninterrupted sand backed with dunes, great for walking, swimming or just playing with a good old fashioned bucket and spade.
